LAGOOZ SCHOOLS’ SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
Lagooz
Schools’ management and staff have resolved to award full-time scholarship,
tuition and boarding (optional) for qualified pupils and students in public and
private primary and secondary schools within Nigeria in commemoration of the
various awards and accolades we have won both at state and national levels.
Apart from this, the scholarship scheme is floated in celebration of our 10th
year anniversary in school business ranging from tutorial, computer academy,
primary and secondary schools.

Rotimi Inioluwa, a female senior
secondary student of Lagooz qualified
among the best five students selected out of 160 students drawn from 80 Lagos State
secondary schools in an essay competition organised by U.S.A Consular Office, Victoria
Island, Lagos between April and May 2012.
3.
Otubela Princess, a primary school
pupil of Lagooz is leading at present in the essay competition organised by
Lagos State Government Agency for primary schools in Lagos State, 2011/2012
session.
4.
Third position award in KIDZ ALIVE
(Super-brain Contest), an academic competition organised for all Lagos State
Secondary School in 2012.

OBJECTIVE

education in Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general.

competition among primary and secondary school children

To encourage parents of children in
primary and secondary school

To support public and private
schools in the drive to give secondary and primary education a qualitative
status.
ELIGIBILITY
·
It is open to all primary and
secondary school children in the following classes:
CATEGORY A
Primary: 4,
5 and 6.
CATEGORY B
JS1 to JS3.
CATEGORY C
SS1 & SS2
2011/2012 Session.
APPLICATION FORM
The application form for the
scholarship can be obtained from the school or online through our website www.lagooz.com/admissions.aspx
. The following conditions apply:

Public and private schools (primary
and secondary): The application form is free.
However,
intending candidates should come with original copies of their result sheet for
first and second terms 2011/2012 academic session.
·
Eligible candidates for the
scholarship scheme must have scored a minimum of 70% in each of the subjects
taken during first and second terms’ examinations of 2011/2012 session
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
In
continuation of the conditions for eligibility, the following conditions must
apply:
1.
Those who qualify for the
scholarship award have the option to become day or boarding students/pupils.
2.
All the intending applicants MUST submit
to the head teacher’s office original
and photocopies of the following on or before August 4th, 2012.
i.
Birth certificate.
ii.
Original Report card for the first
and second terms 2011/2012 session.
3. The Scholarship
Scheme covers ONLY TUITION and BOARDING FEE hence textbooks, uniforms, sports wear, exercise
books and other learning materials are to be provided by respective parents and
guardians.
4. Parents/guardians
should make themselves available for interview on a date to be chosen by the
Scholarship Committee to ratify certain issues.
5. The decision of
Lagooz Scholarship Committee is FINAL.
6. Four coloured
passport size photograph.
7. NOTE: August 4th,
2012 is the final date for submission of all application.
SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION SUBJECTS:
1. SENIOR
SECONDARY CATEGORY
i.
Compulsory English Language,
Mathematics and General Paper
ii.
The candidates will answer
questions based on their various departments such as
a.
Physics and Chemistry
b.
Economics and Account
c.
Literature and CRK/IRK
2. JUNIOR
SECONDARY CATEGORY
Compulsory
English Language, Mathematics and General Paper comprising majority of the Junior Secondary
School subjects
3. PRIMARY
SCHOOL CATEGORY
Compulsory
English Language, Mathematics and General Paper comprising majority of the
Primary School subjects.
DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
1. PRIMARY CATEGORY
The
scheme covers tuition throughout primary school period only. However, pupils
moving from the primary to the Junior
Secondary School will
re-apply for the scholarship, if they are interested and after succeeding in
the screening exercise that will follow may be awarded the scholarship.
2. JUNIOR SECONDARY CATEGORY
i. The
scholarship covers only Junior
Secondary School, JS1 to
JS3.
ii.
Students graduating into Senior Secondary
School are free to apply for the scholarship if
they desire but such candidate will also pass through the normal screening
test, and on successful performance win the scholarship.
3. SENIOR SECONDARY CATEGORY
The
scholarship covers only Senior
Secondary School
education, SS1 to SS3 and its tuition fee only.
