CORRIGENDUM

            You are hereby informed to pay school fees on or before the re­ – opening day being 10th of January, 2011 but to pay at First Bank or FCMB, and not U.B.A as contained in the column on “SCHOOL FEES “

ADDENDUM

Lagooz College has considered it worthwhile to issue new identity cards known as ‘‘Microchip identity Cards’’ to students. It resembles the ATM used in banks but the difference is in its contents. The Microchip identity Cards will perform the following functions:

i.                    Act as identification for the students

ii.                  Keep record of student bio- data

iii.                Keep record of student bills and payments

iv.                Act as evidence of payment

v.                  Facilitate student administration

vi.                It is cost effective.

The new identity cards will be issued to students at present but parents/guardians will be informed later on the cost of procuring the cards.

READING AND VOCABULARY ACQUISITION

            In Lagooz Schools, students are subjected to reading of novels irrespective of academic discipline. By this method, the acquire new words and usages and increase their stock of vocabulary. The book recommended for this compulsory exercise is entitled: ‘Akeju’ by Foluke O. Every  student must purchase one copy while returning next term.

PARENT-TEACHER MEETING

There will be a crucial meeting between the teachers and the parents/guardians whose children and wards are in J.S.S 3 and S.S.S 3 at present. The importance of this meeting is underlined by the fact that it will discuss, and exhaustively too the preparation for JSSCE and SSCE coming up next year. As graduating classes, it is vital for parents and teacher to meet and brainstorm on the way forward for the students vis a vis the two external examinations they will certainly face early next year.

As a matter of policy, Lagooz college management team believe in the golden contributions of the parents and guardians especially on issues concerning the academics and well-being of the students. So carrying parents/guardians along in such sensitive issues as external and graduating examinations has always been our goals. Therefore, attendance to this meeting is mandatory.
