NEWSLETTER ON UPCOMING SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

We trust you are doing well and keeping safe. Once again, we reiterate our commitment to providing quality education that meets international standards just as we also thank you for your immense support and patronage of the Lagooz brand through the years.

We pray the Almighty God continues to provide and meet your needs.

We write to draw your attention to the following school activities;

1.  Open Day: The Open Day, where parents will have the opportunity of interacting with the teachers of their children/wards to secure feedback comes up on Tuesday 2nd November 2021. The Open Day will also allow parents the opportunity to inspect the performance of their children /wards. 

Furthermore, the Arts / Exhibition programme shall hold during the Open Day. 

The Arts/ Exhibition programme will allow the parents to pick from the collection of materials made by their children as well as showcase their business for sales.

Therefore, any parent who is interested in showcasing his/ her business for patronage during the Arts/ Exhibition programme of the school should come to book a stand at an affordable price.

2. Mid-Term Break: A 3- day Mid- Term break of the school shall be observed from Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th November 2021.

3.  PTA meeting: The General Parents Teachers Association meeting of the school holds on Saturday 13th  November 2021. We enjoin all parents to be in attendance as important information shall be passed during the meeting as well as Free Eye Test programme.

4. Free Eye Test: There will be free Eye tests for all the parents which will come up during the general PTA meeting of the school scheduled for Saturday, 13th November 2021.

5.   Fasting and Praying Session: The fasting and praying sessions for Christian and Muslim parents, staff & students/pupils shall hold on 10th- 12th November 2021. 

6.   First Term Results: The school is committed to ensuring the timely release of the First Term academic reports of the students.

In view of this, parents can begin to check the results from 20th December 2021 while the hard copies of the results should be collected from 22nd December 2021.

7. Scrabble/ Chess Training: We encourage parents to ensure their wards/ children participate in the ongoing Scrabble/ Chess training programme of the school.

It should be emphasised that the benefits of Chess/ Scrabble to the learning process cannot be overemphasised as both games improve the thinking acumen of school children and enhance their social skills. 

Particularly, Scrabble improves Students' vocabulary while Chess promotes problem-solving / critical thinking skills in learning. All these soft skills are needed to succeed in 21st-century workplaces.
